How do I feel about my paper.

My paper is like 95% done. I still have to put in my in text citations and fix any other errors. I recently just started working, so I've been a bit stressed making sure I have time to do my essay and get it done. Once I hand my paper in, that will be a relief of stress and worrying. Handing my paper in, also indicates we have one more week and then done with this class. It's been a crazy ten weeks for me. Not that the class is difficult, just that my personal life has been complicated. I do feel relived to have my paper done and ready to turn in, once this happens (most likely on Tuesday) I will feel good and happy that I got it done and turned in. I know my topic wasn't difficult, but I still need to make sure I have followed the APA format and did all my citing correct.

Will I keep my blogging going?

Hello, the question I decided to blog about today is "Will I keep my blog going after the ten weeks is up?"
I'm not sure If  I will be able to keep up with blogging on my account, but I sure wont delete my blog. It's nice to have a place to come to and if I was wanting to vent or let some feelings out...I could type it here and feel better. I wont say that I will always be on blogging but I will enjoy having it for when I might want to get on. It's definitely been something new to try and get done. It also helps that it's nice to write about whatever and get graded for it, usually a good one at that. I've also think the different topics, we have had to write about, have been some good ones and interesting what type of feelings I have had. So in so many ways it helps to have a blog account, when needed to express feelings. So every now and then I will log in to my account and blog a new post about whatever comes to mind. It's been a fun experience trying something new.

Peer reviews

I feel peer reviews can be helpful in many different ways. Posting on the discussion board, gives other classmates to see what your outlook is on what is being asked. It also gives classmates the opportunity to give feedback to help that person improve there work or help them understand if they are wrong. Peer reviews give you different opinions on how your class work is great or where they might be able to give you some suggestions to make a wee bit better. I like that we have to post our thesis statements and paper drafts, because it helps to hear what others have to say about your paper. I have gotten a lot of good feedback helping decide what direction I should be going in or how I should restate something in my paper. Classmates are good about giving different ideas on where to find information also. I feel it's good to receive feedback from different people, because not everyone thinks the same. Being able to read the difference and piece the helpful information together, can help in the long run when finalizing your paper. What might sound good to yourself might not sound that good to the reader and being able to have your classmates read your work will let you know how it really is. Although some people don't take feedback all that well. Even if the feedback is positive or even negative, some people don't like to hear what has to be said from other people. So it's not always a good thing in peoples eyes. For the most part though I do believe most people like to have that extra opinion on there school work.

The past six weeks.

My family and I have moved from Arizona to Illinois this past August. It was a move we knew were going to have to do but wasn't expecting to do it asap. The place I was living at I had gotten a notice that "hey I had to be out in a week." Couldn't believe it, because my husband wasn't ready for us to be in Illinois, only because he hadn't got everything set up yet. Anyways, me and my two kids had to put our stuff in a storage in Arizona and get on a plane to Illinois to go live with my husbands brother, and which was only supposed to be for a month or so. We had plans to have a place and get our stuff from storage, until my husband broke his ankle and isn't able to work for three months. Now we have no income and is living with my husbands brother for longer then what we thought. His brother is fine with it but I'm unhappy, because things aren't going as planned. Now I go to school and stay at home with my kids but we have no income and now I'm going to go get a part time job, so we can stay afloat till my husband can get back on his feet. I don't have a problem working, I would do anything for my family. The only problem that I have with it, is I do everything. I mean I go to school, take care of my two kids and my husband because he can't get up and get things. I clean house, so his brother doesn't feel like were just living there for nothing even though we really are, but we are able to buy all the food in the house with benefits right now. I really do like this blogging, it helps to release stress and get things out in the open with out really talking about it. I only hope that things start to look up and I keep positive for my children. Thanks for listening.

Schools Influence.

I have been a stay at home mom since I had my daughter in 2007 and now I have my son. My kids are my life and didn't feel comfortable putting them in day care. Anyways going to school was a big step for me and I actually decided to go while I was pregnant with my son. College has had a big influence in my life, because I have deadlines and goals to meet. I can't say it's made life any easier at this time but it's been a challenge trying to make sure I can take care of my family and do school work and get it done on time. Right now going to school is a little bit more stressful, only because my husband broke his ankle and his temporally disabled for 3-4 months and he was our only source of income. Now I'm going to go get a part time job and take care of my kids and do school work and everything else that needs done. I don't regret going to school at all, because once I do finish, I know I can continue going to get an even better degree and I'll be able to get a good job and take care of my family by having a good income. All though being able to take my courses on line, helps majorly, so I can be at home with my kids and get home work done on my time as long as I have it turned in on time. The flex seminars help out also, because it gives me a few different choices to decide which day and time would fit better in my schedule. In all I'm happy with my choice to go to school and it might be hard now but It's worth it in the long run.

Why we cite our sources.

Plagiarism is a very big no no, it can result in getting fired, let go from your schooling, or even worse a lawsuit. Morally it's just not right either. I know myself I wouldn't be able to live with that type of guilt to take credit for someones work. It's important to cite our information that has been received, so we know who was stating that information and if it's something that can be relied on as facts. Knowing the author and giving that person credit will help know if that is good information to be relaying on as being truthful or having meaning behind the words. It's a crime to plagiarize, so I feel it should be more on the common sense side. People should already know and understand why it's not okay to take credit for something that's not yours. Just like when we are kids, we are taught to share and taught that not everything is ours. Same rules apply in the adult world, not everything is yours. The only difference would be, as an adult we have learned to give credit to others, that is why we cite our information. APA format is important to know, truly helps a person to understand how to correctly cite any references.  All I have to say is follow the rules and life will be somewhat easier. Going to school is hard and plagiarizing isn't the way to go to help school be easier. Doing your work and getting it done on time and mainly understanding what has to be done, will help.

Being an online student.

I like taking my class on line. I'm a stay at home mom and it helps that I can be at home with my kids when I have no one around to help watch them for me to go off to a class. Even if my kids sit with me and the dinner table eating while I take my class, it makes it make easier. I have a much more flexible schedule doing college on line.  I like that I still have due dates and certain times to have assignments in, because it helps to get everything done. I feel if were left to get our assignments in on our own time, assignments would get forgotten about and either not turned in or turned in way late. I like that we still have class (seminars) that we can listen to a live person and ask questions if we have any. Also helps to get to know your class mates and figure out exactly what your professor wants done on the assignments for that unit. Having the ability to be able to leave an assignment or project and be able to come back at a later time, is extremely helpful in so many ways. Even if my child gets sick, I can still be at my class or get my homework done, while holding my baby and caring for my child. I know it's been said taking college on line is the easy way out or you don't learn as much as you could if you went an actual building and in person sat in class. In my opinion, I learn the same amount as I would in an on base class. It seems to take more time to read and understand how to do projects and homework, since we don't have someone we can go to right away in person and specify everything. In all I'm happy with my choice to be an online student and plan to continue my schooling to further my career.

I'm trying to figure out this blogging.

Hello, I'm very new to this blogging stuff. I had already went through and made a blog ( well I thought I did) but for some reason I can't post any blogs on my medicalstudent-longfellowkira account so I had to make a new blog account at least I assume that is what I did. Craziness.
